Biblical Genealogies

A few years ago I began using a genealogy program called Family Tree Maker to organize my family genealogy and I found it to be very helpful in sorting out the fragmented pieces of information I had collected.  After having this success, I recalled the puzzled feeling I had when reading through the genealogies in the Bible and wondered what would happen if I entered the information given in the various genealogies into Family Tree Maker.  The outline descendant trees shown below resulted.

Even though the descendant trees show below are lengthy, they do not contain all of the trees given in the Bible.  I have made a serious effort to accurately enter the information given in the Bible, but I may have made some mistakes.  If you find a mistake, please let me know so I can correct it.

The dates shown are in the AM calendar, (Latin anno mundi, "the year of the world").  The dates are from the creation of the world as given in the Old Testament.  The world was created in 3761 BC.  This calendar is based upon the ancient Hebrew calendar and it's modern version is called the Jewish calendar.  The Jewish calendar is the official calendar of the modern day state of Israel and is used by Jewish people throughout the world as a religious calendar.  Reference:  Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia Deluxe 2000.
